How do I change the email address on the application part of an iTouch I bought off of ebay?

I bought an iTouch off of eBay from the seller %26quot;ipod-outlet%26quot; who sells refurbished ipods. When I tried to get free applications, it asked me to put in a password for the email address of who I'm assuming is the previous owner. How can I change the email address to my own?



PS I sent an e-mail to the one provided just in case.
