It's a real pain setting up a new account because you lose a lot of data and have to start all over again with Contacts, Emails, etc. It will just happen again in the new one unless you set up your Spam Protection. For your husband:

Try this in his current account. The location to block spam emails is under the %26quot;Options%26quot; link.

1. Click on the %26quot;Options%26quot;, Mail Options link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page.

2. Click on %26quot;Spam Protection%26quot;, fill out the form and click the %26quot;Save Changes%26quot; button. He should only get mail from those in his Contacts list. Anything else will go to the Bulk folder, which can be emptied with one click.

Once you have this set up, each time you see spam or mail that you want to block, check the box next to it, go to the top of the email list and click the %26quot;SPAM%26quot; button, not the Delete button.



Note: Every message you report trains your Spam Guard filters to work better for you. The messages you select in this way will be deleted and reported as spam.

The senders of the messages will be added to your %26quot;Blocked Addresses%26quot; list.
