Recently my email account got compromised. A hacker h ad changed the reply-to address to a different account.?

After changing my email password and changing my reply-to address back to my email address; I noticed that within a week, my reply-to address was again changed to the hacker's address.

How can I stop this from happening?Recently my email account got compromised. A hacker h ad changed the reply-to address to a different account.?This is only a hunch, but have you made sure that you don't have a keylogger installed on your harddrive? I mean, if the reply-to address was changed again to the hacker's address, it indicates that he/she installed some malware on your harddrive! If you don't have some good spyware program installed already, I suggest to get the freeware tool %26quot;hijackthis%26quot;, it quickly scans your computer to find settings that may have been changed by spyware, malware or other unwanted programs. HijackThis creates a report, or log file, with the results of the scan. Check the %26quot;overview, FAQ and quick start guide%26quot; buttons in the top bar to find out how this tool works.

Then google for %26quot;hijackthis forum%26quot;, click on one of the many links and follow the prompts. Those forums have volunteers who help you to analyze your hijackthis log and get rid of the malware on your computer. Below are a couple of links to such forums:

Recently my email account got compromised. A hacker h ad changed the reply-to address to a different account.?Sounds like you picked up a keylogger.

Immediately have your computer checked for a bug or 'bugs.'

Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.

I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.

Changing your password may not be enough to secure your E-mail account again, but try it and see how it behaves.
