It never hurts to have more than one. I have 5 myself but mainly use only one. I use Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc...for sign ups that I think will result in junk mail. As far as the main address; try to come up with something that is representative of your name in a various form like %26quot;firstname %26amp; bday%26quot;.
What happens if and when you start looking for a job and you miss an opportunity because you don't have that email address anymore. Think of it in the same way as changing your phone number that many times.
