Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?

I've had the same email address since college, and it's fine. It's mostly my name with some number attached to the end of it. I'm wondering if it's worth changing my email to something different, simpler, shorter, after all this time.

All my bills, credit cards, bank statements, etc, go through this email, so to change it over I'd have to go into all these accounts and change the contact information.

So is it worth it? I'm just looking for general consensus. Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?I find it's best to have a few different email addresses. You aren't limited to only one!

I, for example, have an email for my banks/credit cards and things of that nature. I have another for mailing lists I am subscribed to. and another for personal use (emailing friends/family)Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?Hi,

IMO it's not worth it to change your e-mail adress.

A lot of persons will lose contact with you, you will have to re-send your contact details to all the banks/etc.

Stick with your current e-mail adress is my advise :)

Regards. Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?Hi J,

Funny thing, I have one email that I think of changing, and like yours is linked to other things that would also have to be changed. So I just have not bothered. Lazy part of me wins out!!!Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?I have an email address that I've kept for over 10 years now. I also have 3 other addresses too.

Add a new email address then send people over to it. Keep the bills to the old.

I DO recommend Gmail from Google. Is It Worth Changing My Email Address? If nearly everything important (government/business related) goes through that one email account, then I'd say it isn't worth it at all. If you're content with your current email address, then why go through the hassle of having to change everything that's connected with it? In my opinion it would just be easier to stick with your current one.Is It Worth Changing My Email Address?Sure keep it, but if it has some sentimental value, or just alot of contacts than don't change it. You can always make other ones and keep that one just in case. I have four email addresses and their all use for different things like family, newsletters, and i have one that i use when i sign up on site so i don't get a ton of spam sent to my good emails. hope this helped. BTW thank you for you answer on my question. I appreciate it.
