How do I change my Yahoo Messenger name without changing my email address?

I would like to change my yahoo messenger name because it is the same as my yahoo email, and my yahoo email is my first and last name. I dont want random people to know my first and last name so is there a way to make it different and still have it go to the same email?How do I change my Yahoo Messenger name without changing my email address?well that's easy

just go Messenger -%26gt;My Contact Details and remove your first/last name from there, add a nickname, and click Save %26amp; exit.

when you open a new chat window, your chosen nickname should appear when you type your text. Altho, creating a yahoo id made up from your first and last names is a no-brainer, ppl you chat with are still be able to see your email address and therefore deduce your name from it, coz let's face it, it's not that hard :P



so, if you still want to hide your name permanently, my advice is to create a new id, which contains no reference to your name, and then put a nickname instead of ur first %26amp; last names (like above). of course, it's a hassle, since u have to add all your contacts all over again... but it's the price of anonimity :DHow do I change my Yahoo Messenger name without changing my email address?Hey my name is Renee. and create a new public chat id. when ever you are entering public chat rooms make sure to select the id before entering.
