Give Yahoo a couple of hours to register your alternate mail address, then all Yahoo mails will go to your new account.



About your old mail address: if that was a Yahoo mail address, don't delete it, because if you do, you will also loose all over personalized services associated with that account. What you could do is simply let it go dormant.
