My email address @ symbol keeps changing to a ' symbol every time i visit. How do I get the @ symbol to stay?

Running XP on an older Acer TravelmateMy email address @ symbol keeps changing to a ' symbol every time i visit. How do I get the @ symbol to stay?Well you question is not very clear to say the least!



Visit where? Are you using a UK keyboard where the ' and @ are on the same key?



Or is the @ on the 2 key and the ' and the %26quot; are on the same key? If so, then that is a US keyboard.



Looks like you have your Regional %26amp; Languages incorrectly set.



To change it to UK 鈻?br>


Control Panel 鈻?Regional %26amp; Languages 鈻?On the first page at the top change the drop down to English (UK) 鈻?At the bottom change the Location to United Kingdom 鈻?Advanced 鈻?Change that drop down to English (United Kingdom) 鈻?Apply and OK



However having said that, if you are using a US keyboard in the UK then you will have to leave it on the US setting because it affects all the other special character keys as well.



UK keyboards are unique to the UK only because of the and 鈧?signs.



A US keyboard covers the US, Canadian English, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and India.



Alternatively you could use Alt+0064 which will give you an @
