How do you get MSN Instant Messenger to work after changing an ISP and getting a a new Email address?

I have changed my ISP and of course have a new Email address but the MSN page with my contacts has remained on my desktop. It still refers to my old email address so of course nobody can contact me. I have asked my old ISP for a MAC Code but they say I don't need one as my new ISP will treat me as a new account. Download messenger and get a Hotmail account to go with it then forward this hotmail address to your contacts.
