I have had the same email address since 2001. I would like to change it so that it appears less collegiate and more professional. However, I would like to be able to keep all of the information from the old account. Is there a way to create a new account, or change the address of the current account, and have messages sent to the old account be forwarded to the new with an aoutomatic notification of the new email address sent as a response? How do you change an email address but keep the account the same?Hi Tyrone,
Change how your name appears on your email.
Here's how to do it:
Click Options top right of your Mail page and select More Options.
and click Accounts. Click Add or edit an account.
In the box on the left, click Yahoo! Mail, and click Edit.
In the %26quot;From name:%26quot; box, enter your name how you'd like it to
appear in the %26quot;From:%26quot; line of your outgoing messages and this is
the name people will see when you send them an email.
You can leave the %26quot;Reply to:%26quot; field blank,or you can specify a
different return address by entering it after %26quot;Reply to:%26quot;.
Click Save to put your new settings into effect.

Or,
You can make an alias account it's an extra
account with in your main one
http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias
click on the blue link to do that.
Have a great day,
Jes***
